Who we are

What is The Alpha Learning Center?

June 8, 2010

Alpha Learning Center provides educational therapy which is specialized intervention for students with learning disabilities specializing in remediation for dyslexia. For five years we have provided remediation for students in low income, low performing school districts and have a proven record of effectiveness. Students in our program are making 1-3 year gains in reading or math in only 5-6 weeks.

We offer services in our Glendora office or in your home or local library. We offer one-on-one intervention with primarily credentialed teachers. If students have dyslexia, we add a music component which accelerates retraining the brain. This is called “Enhanced Lateralization.” Students with IEPs have made 3-5 year gains in our program one year.

We offer free consultations for referrals from health care professionals, parents whose children are not at grade level, and students already diagnosed with dyslexia. Many dyslexic students are falling behind and we have the remediation they need.

Our clients can be from grade 2 all the way into college. Please don’t hesitate to call for your free consultation today.

SES

The Alpha Learning Center has been an approved Supplemental Educational Service (SES) provider for the state of CA these past four years. We are helping at risk populations and seeing 1-3 year gains in English fluency and/or comprehension after 18-20 one-hour sessions. This is a phenominal thing, bringing educational therapy practices into the classroom. SES is a state-funded program and we compete with 150 other providers. We have served in Azusa, Pomona, Baldwin Park, and Ontario-Montclair school districts. In the Fall, we will expand to LAUSD, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, the San Fernando Valley, and beach cities.

We offer a drug – free solution to a neurological problem. Dyslexic children CAN read.

The Mission Statement of the Alpha Learning Center

The Alpha Learning Center is committed to be the best resource of the most effective educational remediation practices for any student from a Christian perspective believing that while individuals may learn differently, all have God-given potential.
